Love Goes On

Fortunes fail and disappear,
Like castles in the sand.
Power spoils and causes fear,
But yields to stronger hands.
Fame lasts for a moment,
Then, in a moment, it is gone.
Oh, but love, love goes on.

  2. Hey don't be a hater! Besides, you're not thinking about the right kind of love.

  3. lol yeah you're right i wasn't. i've come to a realization yesterday on my way to work. It was really good and now I feel better about love and life plus everything in between.
I'm having such a struggle with feeling the right kind of love though. You know the kind where you don't think of yourself at all? You love others because you love God. I so desperately want to reach that point. Part of the realization was looking deeper at what was really wrong. It came to relationships but then it kept going deeper into something that I've never felt before. I've always felt that what i loved for was a relationship. It's true but I was looking for the wrong kind and it came down to wanting to have a purpose and a relationship with God. It felt so good to come to that realization.

  4. It's so true, because human nature is so naturally selfish, that's what we naturally go for in relationships. I think this has to go hand in hand with living a selfless life. Instead of looking for a relationship, I need to be preparing myself for the relationship God has in store for me, and if I follow God's plan, He will lead me to that person. Like you said, it's looking for a relationship with God, instead of looking for fulfillment in another individual.
